Bio: Aashika has interests in the impact of emerging technologies on the practice of law and business, ethics of technology, information governance and the preservation of confidentiality in the digital age. Her career started in the non-profit sector working on anti-human trafficking policy advocacy. Her work earned her the Freedom Award, the Foreign Policy Influencers List, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship and others. As a self-taught developer, she has applied her technology skills toward designing and managing case management sand other data collection systems and tools. She has worked across public and private sector entities and is passionate about applying technology resources, capabilities and solutions to the most problematic legal situations.

Aashika is a graduate of University of Cambridge and holds a Masters in Development Economics. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley where she graduated with highest honors in Anthropology and Political Science. Aashika also holds certificates in non profit management and leadership and paralegal studies.

Aashika is also a proud mother of two, always looking to set a good example for her kids, including the definition of hard work and success. She is dedicated to a life of advocacy and fighting for human rights and injustice all over the world, which became the basis for her inspiration to participate in the pageant world and form Pageant Voices Alliance. In a world where people are so fixated on superficial things like beauty and fame, Aashika’s dream is to encourage people to see the world of pageants not only as just beautiful faces, but also the beautiful words of true advocacy and change they wish to inspire.
